Crown Prince's Office
A man's room. This spacious room is graced with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Three tall windows, topped with gorgeous stained glass look out over the harbour to east, and the ocean below. Dominating it is a truly massive, oaken desk, topped with assorted bits of small statuary and objects of art. The desk is ornately carved with an elegant vine pattern. Behind it is a rather grandiose throne of a chair, carved in a somewhat gothic style. What isn't wood is covered in black leather secured by silver studs. In front of the desk is a cluster of smaller black-leather chairs. The hardwood floor is covered in a thick purple rug with silver trim. A few silver candelabras spaced about the room in addition to a few wrought-iron wall sconces provide plenty of light. The walls are paneled two thirds of the way up the wall with a dark cherry wood. From there on up they are painted purple, and about a foot from the ceiling is silver stenciling. On one side of the room, a bookshelf lines the wall, from floor to ceiling. The shelf is filled with books from all across Daeren. A door leads to a private room for the Prince.

The poor Crown Princes office has been stolen again by the Queen who currently has a room in the midst of being switched to a private office for herself. Seated at the desk with a pot of tea on hand and a mug with the steaming liquid within the scent of her delightful perfume wafting in the air, the Queen in better spirits than she was yesterday. Likely thanks to the apothecary who juiced her up. Or she's just in a really good mood. She has summoned Ciarrah to the office for a chat, and waiting with her are her ladies who are doing stitch work as they wait.

Ciarrah has never traveled even through the palace alone and today is no different. Tagging along with her is her handmaid Serah, the maid who has been with her since her youth. Also, now, there is another with her, one she had opted to allow the Prince to select should he wish. As she steps inside, the two ladies follow her and her guards post themselves at the door with strict instructions from Tyrel. No Logen anywhere near his wife. Seeing the Queen at the desk, she approaches and dips into a curtsy. "Your Majesty." While Ciarrah does, so do her maids, yet they bow very low, then remain silently behind Ciarrah.

Cedric having recieved the summons arrives at the princes office and makes sure the guards announce him before he enters. Once inside he spots immediately Ciarrah and the Queen.. " Your Majesty, Princess. " as he stands at atttention awaiting the command of his queen.

Laetitia has ordered much the same to Logen, though perhaps not as strict. With the entry of Ciarrah followed by Cedric Laetitia will incline her head and gesture for both to sit at chairs arranged in front of the desk, "Thank you for joining me, Princess, Duke. The Duke is here to bear witness that I am not abusive to you, Princess, as has been told to others." Said with a thin smile as Laetitia waits for them both to sit, pages coming to ask about drinks that either would like, "I am told Ciarrah that I have been cold and mean to you by my Son Logen, and that we are all ignoring you and making you feel unwelcoming." It's clear the Queen is hurt by this, her pale green eyes on the young Princess, "I would like you to elaborate on this as I wasn't aware of any such activities and may, in my bid to show you all my love and adoration, overlooked something."

Having been directed to sit, Ciarrah does, just after the bow of her head to Cedric, accompanied by a warm smile that holds more than a hint of reserve. Once seated, she does accept the offer of tea. "Thank you for inviting me, Your Majesty." When she mentions the Duke being there to bear witness as to non-abuse, confusion tugs at her expression in the furrowing of her brow and the slight downturn of her lips. "Cold and mean, Your Majesty? I assure you, I have said no such thing." As much as she wants to, she does not rise, does not raise her voice, does not even look offended or guilty of saying such if the sincerity in her eyes is any indication. "I do not feel unwelcome here, though I admit I do miss my home. Of course I do. My Mother and Father are there, and all I have ever known. It is taking time to get used to the solitude. I am used to spending time as Ambassador and in meetings with people in Aberdeen, that all of this neutral time is taking some time to fill. There has been no mention of anyone being mean or unwelcoming. Of course everyone has their duties here and I understand that. I do not seek any special favor or time."

Cedric sits as directed and arches a brow at the starting statement. Though as Ciarrah talks that brow lowers back as he keeps his hands firmly in his lap and keeps a respectful silence until otherwise asked to talk.

"Well, according to Prince Logen who you spent unreserved time with, you have said quite the opposite my dear and we are all ignoring you and not making you feel part of this family." The Queen states succinctly, "He was enraged in fact that we would treat you as such that I can't help but wonder what you did tell him then. Because if I am to go by his words, which I have no reason not to, you feel as if you are being treated unwell by us and we give you no time of day. I will not touch upon the issue of your emotional dalliance with my other son as that has been taken care of, but I will not have my family being accused of being anything but welcoming and warm towards you, Princess. If you do truly just feel homesick, why claim otherwise."

Ciarrah gapes at the queen rather openly, having not expected this at all. "Our paths cross so rarely, I wonder when you were supposed to have mistreated me, Your Majesty. If that is the impression I gave, then I apologize profusely for it was not intended in any way to be taken in such a manner." The former Aberdeen princess does not argue, though she does apologize. However, she refuses to be cowed. "I understand you believing your son, and I would actually encourage that. Family is important, foremost. Forgive me for making you feel slighted or falsely accused, it was not my intention."

Cedric speaks "If I may your majesty. I've been around the princess enough in my dealings to know full well she has the utmost respect and love for you and your son and family and I've never once heard her coplain to being ill treated. Why would she ass you and the king and Tyrel have been wonderful to her and to myself and my wife. You all provide such warmth that its unseemly to even suggest that you've been cold to anyone. "

"My dear, our paths would cross so readily and could have crossed quite easily if you had not been spending all that time with the wrong Son." Laetitia states firmly, "I have told you that I am here for you, I am /always/ able to make myself available to you, but you keeping yourself away is hardly going to ease your feelings of homesickness if you do not take me up on my want to spend time with you. I have offered to mentor your brother Prince Conall Aberdeen with the King, you are more than welcome to join us and learn." A nod to Cedric, "Which is why I had a hard time believing Logen, but something was communicated to him that suggested we were anything but. And I am simply clearing that up because I know it to be an untruth." Warm smile parts now as she looks back to Ciarrah, "I have been through the same as you, you and I, we have a bond. Do not be afraid to explore it. One day you will be in my position and it is my intention to fully ready you."

Ciarrah presses her lips together again at the mention of Logen and her spending time with him. Opening her mouth to refute it, that it had been very few times, she instantly closes it once more. "Indeed, Your Majesty and once more I offer my apologies for the slander of your good name." Certainly not arguing with the Queen, her breeding had been so that never was she allowed to argue her mother. As Cedric attempts to do so, she gently shakes her head. "The Queen is right, Your Grace. I said things I should not have. I am sorry to have disappointed you both in so many ways. I have learned my lesson and I assure you it will never happen again. Your offer is most gracious and I shall take you up on it."

Cedric looks to Ciarrah and then the queen and seems to say something but snaps his mouth shut as he lets the two ladies figgure this out as he was informed its not his place but to just make sure niceities are inforced or something along those lines.

Laetitia nods her head and continues to smile, "Good. You can go now, Princess, I have further to discuss with the Duke here." Finally she will pluck up her tea cup and drink deeply of the now warm beverage, waiting for Ciarrah to scoot so she can converse with Cedric.

Rising, Ciarrah offers another curtsy to the Queen and a bow of her head to the Duke. "I bid you both a good night and thank you, Your Majesty for your tolerance." Turning, she leaves the room with her two maids and guards.
