Born to Sarai and her husband, Kayla was a happy child growing up in Greenshire. Sarai was friend and maid to the Lady Ganina, the two as close as could be. It was a happy day when Ganina would deliver her own daughter a year after Sarai. The two were raised together, as close as sisters. Between the Lady of the House, and her Maid, the two shared lessons from their mothers, and the various tutors that were brought in to help. Lessons of running the household, singing, dancing, instruments, horse riding and archery but to name a few. Kayla would pick up sewing and needlework, her keen sight helping her make the tiniest of stitches. It is something she excels in, and loves to do.
When Ganina passed away, it was Sarai who would continue to oversee the young Lady's education, making sure Moira became the young Lady that was expected of her. As for her own daughter, Kayla, she was not to be parted from her best friend and sister, Moira. Wherever Moira went, Kayla was there as well, serving as her maid and chaperone when needed once the two came of age to need such. Like her mother for the late Ganina, Kayla has an extreme loyalty to her 'family', and would do anything for Moira.
Kayla has always been an animal lover, finding friends in the various animals kept around Greenshire from pets to the animals of the farm. She rides well, and yet it's apparent these days, that she would much prefer to stay home than going on long trips. She's a bit of a romantic, though she's never been married. She's had a few men courting her from time to time, but nothing every came of it in the end.
Now Moira has gone and gotten herself married, and Kayla has followed her to live with her husband. It's a good thing that Kayla has picked up healing from Sarai, for between it and the midwifery skills learned at her mother's knee, she'll hopefully help Moira out as the first of what is hoped to be many children are born to the newly married couple!
