Born into the knightly house of Conwy, in Lakeshire, Cadel's destiny was always to become a knight, to defend the House of Kincaid come what may. He's the oldest son of Sir Bredon Conwy, who was in service to the Kincaids. He grew up with two younger brothers, Liam and Cian, and a few sisters, that he's always been protective of. He's also known for his hot temper.
Ever since he could walk, he knew he was on the track for knighthood, and he embraced it fully. At times, he might have been doing even more training than he was supposed to, something the knight he squired for had to give him exhausting duties to keep him from doing.
Knighted right before he turned 20, he took to the duties as a knight with great enthusiasm. It was around this time that he first met this young woman named Emily. The two of them would have an on-again-off-again relationship over a bit of the coming seven years or so, although from the first meetings, one would never guess that.
Being a knight is not an easy job, and when first his father lost a leg in battle, and then his brother Liam was killed in battle, it started taking its toll on his mind, and he started being less social, retreating a bit more into his own mind, as well as starting to drink heavily more often. It was a few years after that, Emily finally had enough of him, and moved away, which made him just cling to his duty when he was doing it, and then do his lonely drinking.
Now, with the threat of war looming, he has managed to shake himself a little bit from that, partially because he feels a need to help keeping his brother who is also a knight alive. The question is, will the coming months break him down again, or will the need to help protecting people keep him going?
